Join Dr. Samantha Nutt, Founder of War Child Canada and Author of the best-selling book Damned Nations: Greed, Guns, Armies and Aid, in conversation with leading experts in the fields of human rights and development, as they discuss and debate the future of aid in our conflicted world. The Future of Aid: Our Shared Responsibility will draw on the insight and experiences of the invited panelists, who will share what the aid sector is doing right - and wrong - and outline the steps needed to move towards more informed and responsible approaches to development. All proceeds from the event will go to support War Child Canada, an award-winning charity that provides humanitarian assistance to war-affected children in some of the most devastated regions of the world.
Following the event, Dr. Samantha Nutt will be signing copies of her new book, Damned Nations: Greed, Guns, Armies and Aid, which was released on October 25th, 2011 through McClelland & Stewart Ltd.
